CHOGM Park PDF Print E-mail
Located in Kuah town, opposite the Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) building, the 10-acre CHOGM Park was built to commemorate Malaysia's hosting of the 1989 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, CHOGM. Langkawi was the the designated retreat for the guests. The white concrete structure with the flags of all Commonwealth nations that participated in the meeting flying at the top is set in a verdant garden with trees that were mostly planted by the heads of the respective Commonwealth delegations.

With the trees now all grown, the CHOGM Park has now matured and offers lots of shaded areas to rest and take a respite from the midday heat. You can easily access the park from the Kuah main road (Jalan Persiaran Putra). The Al-Hana Mosque sits next to the place.
